SAILING SOLO

Sailing Solo

Two good options: take a cabin built for one, or find someone to share with in our Facebook group.

OPTION ONE

The Edge Single, built for one.

Celebrity's Edge Single staterooms come with the Infinite Veranda — touch a button and the whole room opens to the sea. They're designed for solo travellers rather than sold as a half-empty double, so you pay $2,469.40 rather than the full single supplement you'd usually face.

Maximum occupancy is one adult, and the price above is that guest's total — not a per-person double rate.

No roommate to coordinate with, no compromises on the thermostat, and the same beverage package, Wi-Fi and gratuities as everyone else.

A hotel room with a view of the ocean through large glass sliding doors. The room has a bed with white linens and orange accents, a mounted flat-screen TV, a small sitting area, and a patterned carpet.

OPTION TWO

Share, and save between $360 and $860.

Compared with an Edge Single at $2,469.40, sharing a cabin at double occupancy costs this much less per person.

FINDING SOMEONE

Our Facebook group is where this happens.

It's the easiest place to find a cabin mate, and it works far better than any matching service we could run, because you get to talk to people yourself, at your own pace, and decide who you'd actually want to share a small room with for a week.

01

Join the group

It's free, it's ours, and it's where guests are already talking about 2027.

02

Post what you're after

Cabin category, budget, early riser or night owl, tidy or relaxed. The practical things that matter when you share a room.

03

Talk, then book

Message, video call, take as long as you need. When you're both sure, book together and tell us you're sharing.

WORTH KNOWING

A few honest things before you share with someone new.

We don't match, vet or vouch

Waves of Pride doesn't run a roommate matching service and doesn't screen anyone in the group. Any arrangement you make is between you and the other person. Take your time, talk properly before you commit, and trust your instincts — there is no deadline pressure that's worth ignoring a bad feeling over.

Sort the money before you book

A shared cabin is one booking in two names. Agree between you who pays what and when before the deposit goes down, and tell us at the time of booking that you're sharing so we can set it up properly with KVI.

If your roommate drops out

You have two options, and the first is almost always better. Find a replacement — a name change is $99 per cabin, accepted through October 31, 2027, and your own fare is untouched. Or keep the cabin to yourself, in which case the fare recalculates at the single-occupancy rate and you'd owe the difference.

The person who cancels is subject to the standard cancellation schedule, exactly as they would be in any other cabin. Which is one more reason to talk properly before you book.

Travel insurance matters more when you're sharing

You're exposed to someone else's change of plans as well as your own. Buy it when you book.

No luck finding someone? You can still sail. Edge Single staterooms with Infinite Veranda are purpose-built for one at $2,469.40.
